Book Project:

I wanted to create a book sculpture series that literally brought you imagination to life. I write poems often and decided to transfer them into handmade sketchbooks. I then used imagery from the poems that you would imagine as you were reading to come out of the books.

Image transfers onto glass to illustrate a scene of a wooded area and how the beauty of light transcends through the trees and the glass. The theme was to force people in the city, who rarely see nature like this in its true beauty, to really look at it and appreciate what they don't have. To really appreciate this piece you have to get close to it at its level, so that you feel like you are in the woods seeing the majestic-ness of it all.
